Craft for Grandparents Day

Craft items you will need:

  • Paper plate
  • Wool
  • Bows, stickers, buttons, etc.
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Scotch tape

Card instructions for Grandma:

Have the children glue wool to the top of their paper plate.  This will be Grandma’s hair.

Next, using different color markers, have the children draw eyes, nose, mouth and ears onto the paper plate.  This will be Grandma’s face.

Then, encourage the children to accessorize with bows and earrings.

Once done, have the children take a sheet of construction paper and cut it in half, length-wise.

Have the children taper the ends of the construction paper, so it resembles arms and hands.

After that, have the children create an accordion fold with the construction paper.

Lastly, have the children tape the widest part of the arms behind the paper plate.
