What better way to jump into the Christmas holiday season then with a Santa song!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town song is a festive Christmas song to help preschoolers and kindergarten students learn about one of the most popular holidays of the year.

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s clearly time to start making Christmas lesson and Christmas party plans.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town is a Christmas song that’s easy enough for young learners to follow but fun and active enough for older elementary school students to enjoy, too.

Before playing the Santa song, be sure to review unfamiliar vocabulary with the class.

They can be particularly effective in making Christmas fun and educational.

After listening to the Santa song, introduce another really fun Christmas activity in class.

Make a Santa Claus!

Christmas Craft.

Help preschoolers and kindergarten students craft this simple and easy-to-make Santa Claus craft that’s just perfect for a Christmas theme unit.

This Santa Claus craft is sure to delight during the Christmas holiday season!

So, what are you waiting for?

Let’s make a Santa Claus.

Craft items you will need:

  • Blue, beige, red construction paper
  • Cotton balls
  • Red and Black markers
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Craft instructions:

Have the children draw and cut out a round circle from beige construction paper.  This will be Santa Claus’ head.

Next, have the children glue Santa Claus’ head to blue construction paper.

Then, have the children draw and cut out a Santa Claus’s hat from red construction paper.

Once complete, have the children glue the Santa Claus’ hat on top of Santa Claus’ head.

After that, using the red and black marker, have the children draw two black eyes, a red nose and mouth on Santa Claus.

When done, have the children make a Santa Claus beard by gluing cotton balls all around Santa Claus’ face.

Lastly, have the children glue a cotton ball at the end of Santa Claus’s hat.

And, voila, the children have now made a Santa Claus for Christmas.
